January musings and some Bliss

When the weather turns so cold and bleak, I find myself becoming much more introspective.  Darkness creeping in so early forces me to stay inside more and that gives me lots of time to just think while knitting or crafting away.  Funny how our minds never really stop working but are always adrift taking us here and there often as fleeting and skittish as a butterfly.  With all this mind time I have been contemplating on how God always seems to bring us the right people/circumstances/events in our lives at a time when we are generally ready to take the next leap of faith or growth.  Of course that does not mean we will embrace it and often fight it tooth and nail….well I sometimes do anyway.  Just my musings this day….

My Jimmy is a football fan so while he was busy watching his beloved Redskins, I took the opportunity to get in some Bliss time.  It was definitely chilly but the sun was shining and I could not resist.

First ride of the season is alway so sweet!  And since I have been spinning along at the local Y classes for a few months, I already had my saddle seat and some pretty strong legs.

The next day after all that beautiful sunshine winter hit.  Big, fat, beautiful snowflakes came down covering the ground quickly.

It did not stay long, but it was beautiful while it lasted.  I think we may have a winter with little to no snow.

When my Jimmy and I got together we saw a sign that said "It is never to late to live happily ever after" and just loved it.  Well I found a sign back in November and ordered it up.  It was on back order forever and I gave up ever seeing it.  Tuesday the UPS man showed up with this:

I love it!  We placed it on the mantle where we can be reminded every day that it truly never is too late to live happily ever after!

Being a chamber ambassador has been one of my favorite activities since moving here.  Last week it gave Jimmy and I the opportunity to have reserved seats for the AMC Roadshow, Showville.  Showville visits communities and spotlights local talent with the audience voting on the final winner.  While I cannot divulge any info on the finalist or winner as the show will not air until spring, I can tell you it was a great time.  Lots of energy by the contestants, audience, and hosts.  It was a great evening out!

And now how are those resolutions going?  Mine have been purring along perfectly.  My workout volume has increased once again and I am seeing some real results already.  Adding  Yoga, Spin, and Power Pump classes at the Y has really made a big difference.  I am also focusing once again on lifting regularly and mindfully concentrating on building up those muscles.  My fitness time is my sanity time during a busy day!

And now to go and engage more in that living happily ever after stuff!

It's never too late!

Patricia
